Duplex 31803 Plates hold greater concentrations of chromium compared to other steels and thus have excellent corrosion resistance. Duplex 31803 Plates are made from duplex stainless steel whose construction helps to combine enhanced pitting resistance, high strength, corrosion of heat, corrosion of the crevice and cracking. Duplex 31803 Plates tolerate corrosion by sulphide stress and chloride conditions. Duplex 31803 Plates exhibit excellent resistance to corrosion, much higher than that of grade 316, prevents specific forms of corrosion, such as intergranular, crevice, and pitting. For most cases, the Duplex 31803 Plates are stronger than the ferritic stainless steel. In some cases, the power of the Duplex 31803 Plates may be twice that of austenitic stainless steel.
