Duplex 32760 Plates contain 25 percent chromium, 7 percent nickel, 3.6 percent molybdenum, and copper, tungsten, and nitrogen. The Duplex 32760 Plates are heavily alloyed with high PREN for use in hostile conditions. Such Duplex 32760 Plates have a microstructure which is ferritic-austenitic. In the annealed state, the Duplex 32760 Plates consist of roughly 40-50 percent ferrite. The Duplex 32760 Plates have the high ferritic grade strength while maintaining the austenitic grade corrosion resistance. Having the metal used as a functional alternative for chloride-induced stress cracking is not unusual. It also has outstanding resistance to the cracking of corrosion from sulphide stress in sour-gas environments. Well known for its high impact resistance, the Duplex 32760 Plates display no ductile-brittle transformation but rather a small drop in impact energy as temperature decreases. The Duplex 32760 Plates only marginally lower impact power than when welded.
Duplex 32760 ring uses include the manufacture of annealing shelves, quenching tables, oxidation-resistant partitions and other high-temperature systems. The Duplex 32760 Plates are also used to make heat exchangers and distillation trays. Other industries which use the Duplex 32760 Plates are the pulp industry and the paper industry.
